Brit 'B' basket
Both chic and celebratory, this Brit ‘B’ Basket is Sarah’s colourful interpretation of a traditional English Berry Basket.
Ideal for using as a casual handbag, lunch bag or small shopping basket.
Handwoven using natural white (stripped black maul) willow, locally sourced from the Somerset Levels. Indigo dyed using natural vat fermentation, red leather handle, brass fixings.
Traditional English underfoot tied slath base, stake & strand basket, English rand weave.
Created in 2023, the Brit ‘B’ basket, (‘B’ stands for berry!) has now become part of the ‘B’ basket collection that includes the 2022 Original ‘B’ basket and 2024 Twist ‘B’ basket.
Please note that due to indigo dyed willow varying in shade each Brit ‘B’ basket is unique in colouration. If you specifically wish for a lighter or darker indigo basket please say when purchasing. Also, whilst the indigo dye has been ‘fixed’, please treat like you would denim material.
