Future Workshop Dates May - July ‘25

Sarah will be announcing her next set of workshop dates in late January ‘25. When deciding on which basket workshops to teach, Sarah chooses to be responsive to recent requests and demand. As usual Sarah will be teaching at least three times per month a selection of willow baskets that she has designed for you at her one and two day workshops. These will be for both beginners and those with willow weaving experience. Signing up to Sarah’s newsletter enables you to receive these dates before their general release, giving you the opportunity of priority booking.

Bespoke Weaving Experiences

At her home studio in a beautiful Devon garden setting, Sarah is now offering you the opportunity to make either one of the willow baskets that she has designed for her Willow Day Workshops or attend private training with 1:1 or 2:1 tuition.

For that special occasion or for those who wish to be taught in a smaller group, choose to make one of the baskets that Sarah has designed for her Willow Day Workshops. £175 1:1, £285 2:1, £395 3:1 per day, includes all materials and refreshments.

From experience Sarah knows that the opportunity in the UK to hone your basketmaking techniques and skillset, having teaching specifically tailored to you, is incredibly rare and extremely valuable. This is why Sarah is now offering one day (or more if you’d like!) basketmaking tuition for intermediate weavers. Tuition will be tailored to your ability, focussing upon your priority learning needs. Perhaps it’s stepping up to make that decent square work basket, learning particular weaves or tips and tricks for bordering down. Tuition £200 1:1 or £340 2:1 per day, includes all materials and refreshments.

For your bespoke weaving experience email willow@sarahlebreton.co.uk with your request.

  • “Dear Sarah, I just wanted to take a moment to say how much my sister, Sarah and I enjoyed your berry basket course yesterday. Your teaching was excellent and the day so complete and fulfilling. We were blown away with the end result of our hard work and your incredible patience! Even after an hour and a half drive back, we arrived home exhausted but completely buzzing!!! Thank you so much. You will be seeing us again. Kindest regards.”

Mel & Sarah, November ‘24, Berry Basket Workshop.

  • "Hi Sarah, Just wanted to say thank you again for your hospitality and teaching over the most amazing last 2 days. So much fun spending time in your garden studio making a basket."

Wendy, September ‘24, 2 Day Oval Basket at home garden studio.

  • "I have just completed a 2 day round basket course with Sarah which was truly amazing. Sarah is so passionate about willow basket weaving that it became the most inspiring and fun time with almost individual tuition. I thoroughly recommend her as a tutor and if you get the chance to go on one of her courses, go for it. She will inspire confidence and a love of baskets."

Naomi, July ‘24, 2 Day English Round Basket Workshop at home garden studio.

  • "As always, I had a lovely day. It is always such a treat to weave with you. You are a very generous and wholehearted teacher. It feels that your passion and skills in making and weaving really enable you to support people on their own creative journey. Leaving, certainly me, with a sense of joy, achievement and a beautiful basket. I think they may always be wobbly but this one felt a bit less wobbly than the ones before. It is your gift as a teacher, genuinely lovely human being, to be able to facilitate a group of mainly strangers into making a basket and feeling connected in such a short space of time.”

Jo, April ’24, Berry Basket Workshop.

  • "Dear Sarah, Thank you so much for your energy, time and endless patience at the workshop on Thursday. I really enjoyed the day, and love my unique (slightly wonky and rustic!) basket. Your passion for willow shines brightly and is truly inspiring. I'm already looking forward to another workshop with you."

Rosie, December ‘24, Garden Basket Workshop.

  • Hi Sarah, Just wanted to say thank you so so much from me and my Mum for such a wonderful workshop.  Every detail was thought through, and your joy and passion for weaving was infectious and inspiring. We thought your teaching style was so impressive too and worked so well in the group.
It really was such a brilliant day."

Lily, December ’23, Beginners Round Basket Workshop.

  • "Thanks so much for the amazing workshop a few weekends ago. It was thoroughly magic to weave again with you and the lush group of people who always seem to show up. The process of weaving is really moreish and I feel drawn to learning more. And also am struck by all your prep and planning that goes into your courses to enable us to have the best possible experience of all the ‘magic’ and flow…. Thanks for all the background work and thought that you put in. It really makes the day feel the maximum amount of fun! I also really appreciate your ‘no-one left behind’ approach - you feel like a helpful bee buzzing around, attending to your students and making sure no one feels as if they’re lost or left behind. A joy to observe and be part of so thanks for all of it! Hope to see you again in 2025."
