New website launched!
Having dreamt for years of my website having a really decent online shop and fully online workshop booking I’ve now made this happen. I’m delighted to announce that my new website is now live, just in time for the Christmas season.
I’ve worked very hard to ensure that my website tells my story. This includes a gallery featuring my latest work, significant commissions and showcase pieces. By clicking through on an image you reach detailed photos of each piece of work and individual explanations of what I make and why.
Anyone who runs their own craft business full time, perhaps inevitably to be successful, knows that the making and creating part of our businesses, the part we want to be doing the most, happens for the minority not the majority of the time. Each craftsperson has to learn and hold a multitude of business related skills, my latest string to my bow is to learn from scratch to become a website designer / developer. Yes it’s not what I have been wanting to be doing with every spare minute over the past couple of months, but like many other craftspeople who are sole traders, I couldn’t afford anyone else to create a website for me.
I have to look at the bigger picture. That my new website will improve my visibility, will increase my sales, productivity and efficiency, will focus and drive me forward upon the specific paths within my craft that I want to explore and be successful in. All this effort will hopefully enable me to make more of what I want to be creating and making, enabling me to become a better master craftsperson.
