Nourish Exhibition now Open! 9th August – 29th October 2022

I’m incredibly delighted to be exhibiting at the Nourish Exhibition being held at the Crafts Study Centre in Farnham, Surrey from the 9th August until 29th October.

On Saturday 13th August we held our afternoon Opening Event and despite the intense heat and train strike many amazing fellow makers, organisations and supporters attended.

It was brilliant to meet fellow exhibitors, many of whom I’d never met in person before but have been working with for over 18 months, firstly together on the Cockpit Business Professional Development Programme and then in creating this wonderful exhibition.

Thank you so much to organising curator and acting director of CSC Greta Bertram for all her hard and meticulous work, for believing in us and helping us achieve such a success.  Much thanks also to curator Lois Walpole, for selecting our work and supporting us through the exhibition process.  Also to our funders the Basketmakers’ Association and to the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers, both organisations were represented at our Opening Event.

It’s been truly a privilege to be among 16 incredible UK makers and helping to focus and organise this exhibition. By Saturday evening we had begun to talk about what’s next – a touring exhibition, maker skills sharing sessions, even a festival…. I’ve got a feeling that Nourish will be continuing way beyond our brilliant exhibition!  Sarah X
